TRIUMPH 1800 ROADSTER - Lot 57
TRIUMPH 1800 ROADSTER Designed at the very end of the war, the 1800 came out in 1946, equipped with a 4-cylinder "Standard" engine owned by Triumph. Rated at just over 60 hp, it enabled the car to reach speeds of 120 km/h. With its pre-war styling, the main distinctive feature of this model is the "spyder" located behind the bench seat. Equipped with 2 folding seats, it can take 2 extra people "hair in the wind". The spyder is accessible via 2 small side steps. In 1948, the engine was upgraded to 2.1l. Production ceased in 1949 after around 4,500 units had been produced. . This 1947 car has been "cherished" in the same family for over 60 years! Some ten years ago, it underwent a complete restoration, with all the care demanded by the rarity of this vehicle (bodywork, interior and mechanics, chrome). A complete restoration file is supplied with the car, along with a set of various parts. A rare car with a "so British" look!
