It uses the same engine as its predecessor, the 1.6-liter twin-shaft, as well as the 5-speed manual gearbox. The name Duetto was put out to public tender. It also earned the nickname "osso di sepia" or "cuttlebone", as well as "coda longa". She also starred in the American film "Le Lauréat" with Dustin Hoffman, which made her very popular in the USA. At the end of 1967, it was quickly followed by the "1750", and in 1968 by the Junior 1.3 l. The body was modified in 1969. The entire rear section was redesigned in a sharper style, with the same powertrains retained. In 1972, the "1750" was replaced by the "2000" to keep pace with the development of the "Berlina". This 2nd model was the most mass-produced series, with over 50,000 units sold. It ended its long 28-year career in 1994, with a total production of almost 125,000 units. This 1973 model is a coda tronca with a 2-liter engine. It was last serviced in September 2024. The Km on the odometer are 145,000 and are guaranteed. The paintwork has been redone and is in very good condition. The vehicle runs very well, the mechanics have been regularly serviced and it has always been carefully stored indoors. A very nice convertible at a reasonable price, ready to hit the road!
