FERRARI TESTAROSSA 1985 Swiss registration Chassis... - Lot 24 - Arteal
FERRARI TESTAROSSA 1985 Swiss registration Chassis number ZFF TA1 7S0 0005 9463 Displacement 4941 cm3 Power 283 kW 385 HP First registration 15.10.1985 Last inspection 16.11.2020 Mileage 58 300 km (odometer reading) Presented at the 1984 Paris Motor Show, it was a real bomb with its sharp lines, totally breaking with its predecessor, the Ferrari BB 512. Its unique exterior mirror placed in the middle of the A-pillar, the famous monospecchio, will also be one of its specificities. On the other hand, it takes the mechanics of the BB, the famous 12 flat cylinders of 4943 cm3 and 380 HP. Its name Testarossa (red head) comes from the famous 250 TR of competition of the end of the 50s, whose cylinder head covers were of this color. Due to its commercial success, it will be only slightly restyled for the period 92-94 with a power increased to 428 HP, and it becomes 512 TR. From 1994 until the end of its career in 1996, it is again modified into 512 M. It abandons its retractable headlights for visible optics, under globes, and a power raised to 440 CV. A real success for Ferrari, since more than 7'000 units were produced, it will not be replaced under this architecture. The presented model dates from the end of 1985, and has the famous unique rear view mirror. It is a Swiss car, delivered in Zurich, with few kilometers. Red in color, with a beige leather interior, it has its service booklet. The timing belts have been replaced recently.
